Harry Potter site

I was talking with my friend Sarah yesterday (mostly about Doctor Who) and she told me about a Harry Potter related site to which she contributes. It's called Magic is Might and it provides daily updates from the Ministry of Magic during the 7th and final Harry Potter book (i.e. from Voldemort's rise to powere to his demise) in real time!

This is a really interactive site with lots of stuff to sift through for you loyal Harry Potter fans. So check it out!

It can be a little overwhelming at first (remember, the ministry was full of lots of fear mongering against Muggles and Muggle-born wizards in the 7th book-something that always alarms me), so here is a little info before you dive in. Just click here

And when you're ready here is Magic is Might!

Coraline Trailer!

Here's the best trailer for Coraline so far. And it's actually Neil Gaiman's (he wrote the book) favorite! The movie comes out February 6th and I'll definitely be seeing it that weekend, so if you want to see it with me let me know and we can get a group of people to see it together! I know Kathleen and Mallory are already on board! dftba, Sti

I created this blog primarily so you can find out what activities are coming up for the 11-16 age group here at the library. I'll be posting brief descriptions of our activities, photos, book reviews, and other interesting things that I happen to see. In recent news: the TAG Christmas party was December 8, and everyone worked together to make it a success. Thanks to all the hardworking volunteers! We ate holiday snacks, sang Christmas karaoke, and had a snowball fight outside! Check out the library's Flickr site for all the pictures. We're taking a brief break during the Christmas holidays, but we'll be starting up again on January 11 with personalizing snack dishes to use every week. Instead of throwing away bowls and cups after our Fr...
