Every summer we have hundreds (and hundreds!) of kids attend our programs. The programs include magic shows, balloon animals, snakes, clowns, crafts, and lots of screaming/adorable/hyperactive kiddos. That is basically a list of things that terrify most people. We are able to do all of this with the help of our trusty volunteers. And believe me, they are worth their weight in gold. Our volunteers help set up for programs, assist during the programs by taking pictures, counting attendees, helping kids with the craft, and then clean up afterwards. All for free! We had a really great group of teens helping out this year and we want to show how much we appreciate them with a special party. Next Monday, July 22 from 11:30-12:30 anyone who has volunteered for us this summer is invited to join us in the library's activity room for food of some sort (we haven't decided yet!) and general appreciation.
