Crash Course- John and Hank Green make learning fun!

The Green Brothers (John, author of YA books such as The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns; and Hank creator of the blog ecogeek.org), creators of Nerdfighteria , are at it again. They've just launched a new youtube page called Crash Course. Crash Course will be full of educational videos hosted by John and Hank. John will tackle World History while Hank will be all about the Biology! If their other youtube videos and appearances are any indication these videos are going to be informative, funny, fast-paced and definitely not boring! So far there's only one video, so you aren't too far behind! Subscribe now! Here's the short preview for Crash Course starring John Green himself! And the first history video about the Agricultural Revolution! See? Awesome, subscribe! DFTBA, Sti

Nerd Fitness AND Hunger Games make up tutorial

So today is my day off because I work on Saturday (*hint hint* Come visit me!), so I am blogging to you from the comfort of my home while Rumples McTavish sleeps (shhhhh, she got out last night and it freaked her out a bit so let's let her get some rest).* Anyway, I'm writing to you from my zebra striped couch to tell you that the vlogbrothers have made a few new fantastic videos. Not that all of their other videos aren't fantastic, I just thought you would all appreciate these. First John Green ( nerdfighter , and author of Paper Towns, Looking for Alaksa, Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and An Abundance of Katherines) helps us work out. The Nerd Way. And guys, I'm not ashamed to admit that I participated along with this video (though I'm really bad at sit ups), so you should too! And, to fulfill a bet, and to celebrate the release of Mockingjay, Hank Green (@ecogeek, nerdfighter , and brother to John Green) shows us how to apply make up for "District 12 look....

This isn't Hogwarts!

Another hilarious video, this one is from Hank Green- John Green's brother. Hank usually writes funny songs (there's a good one about a squirrel too!), and I thought a lot of you would really appreciate this one in particular. :D Oh! A few other things before I go. Tomorrow is National Talk Like a Pirate Day! Arrrrrr! Aaaand, keep your eyes peeled for a new segment coming up on this blog which will hopefully prompt me to be better at updating! And, as always, DFTBA!

Project for Awesome

So I discovered this project this morning: www.projectforawesome.com Check it out! Here's a little explanation from the site to explain what they're trying to accomplish "Sometimes the world just sucks too much. This year is certainly no exception. But it’s the time of the year when we have to think about others instead of ourselves. Which is why the YouTube community is excited, this year, to band together to promote our favorite charities, and to encourage giving among young and old alike... Throughout the day this December 17th, we will be liveblogging the transformation that YouTube is undergoing. As P4A (project for awesome) videos go live throughout the site, and the community promotes those videos, and people give money to the biggest and best charities of the year." The name alone is enough to make me love it, but I also really like the message and goal of the project. Also, here's Hank Green (brother of the 'awesome' YA author John Green and co-fo...
