Cuentos y Canciones (Spanish Storytime)

Here's a new Spanish Storytime with Ms. Brenda. Introduce your child to Spanish, or brush up their (and your!) Spanish language skills with fun songs and rhymes and stories in Spanish.

Craft Kit: Snowy Village

It probably *knock on wood* won't snow here this December, but you can create your own snowy village with this week's craft kit! Pick it up in the Children's Department or at the drive through.  Follow along with the photos below and feel free to add your own flourishes to make your village unique! Based on the Paper Winter craft from krokotak.com   1. You'll need a glue stick, scissors, and markers 2. Accordion fold the bottom of the white paper 3. Stop folding about 4 inches from the top. 4. Apply glue to the first fold 5. Fold in half so the glued areas stick to each other      6. Your white paper should stand on its own now. 7. If you want, trim off the edges of the blue paper so they're rounded   8. Glue the blue paper to the back of the white to create the sky. 9. Cut squares and rectangles for your houses 10. The yellow paper can become windows or roofs or the sun in the sky!  11. Cut trees from the green paper 12. Glue your village with the folds!

Craft Kit- Paper Ball Garland

You can pick up this craft kit in the Children's Dept. or at the drive through window! Follow along with the pictures below. You can customize your garland by mixing the colors, cutting the strands in half to make smaller balls, or gluing glitter or sequins on the finished product!
