March is a busy month!

March Madness isn't all you have to look forward to this month! Our 4th Annual Girls Only Slumber Party will take place on Saturday, March 10th from 7pm to 8am. Permission slips will be available starting this Friday (March 2). Come pick up one for yourself and a friend! The Slumber Party is always a lot of fun, we try to stay up all night playing video games, watching movies, doing crafts, reading, and just hanging out! March is also the month The Hunger Games will come out in theaters! If you're as excited as I am, you'll want to join us for our Hunger Games party the week before the premiere. On Friday March 16 at 3:00 we'll be making Mockingjay tshirts (bring a blank tshirt!), creating Hunger Games inspired crafts , eating snacks, and testing our survival instincts with some physical challenges. There are plenty of things to do at the Library this March, so come out and join us! DFTBA, Sti

The Madness is Returning

That's right, as Spring approaches we gear up for March Madness again! Last the most heroic character of YA literature battled the most villainous baddies in our second annual March Madness (Voldemort somehow defeated Percy Jackson). This year we will be pitting YA genres against each other! Each week you will be asked to choose your favorite of two genres as well as your favorite book in those genres. You may vote as often as you like and we will hopefully have an online component for voting as well (both here and on the TAG facebook page !) Here's a list of the genres that will be competing: Steampunk Fantasy Dystopian Historical Fiction Realistic Fiction Horror Sci-Fi Paranormal Do you have a favorite? I'd love to hear about it in the comments! DFTBA, Sti
